Lucerne, a compact city in Switzerland known for its preserved medieval architecture, sits amid snowcapped mountains on Lake Lucerne. Its colorful Altstadt (Old Town) is bordered on the north by 870m Museggmauer (Musegg Wall), a 14-century rampart. The covered Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), built in 1333, links the Aldstadt to the Reuss River’s right bank.
A little further down the river is another covered bridge, the Spreuer Bridge.
A large portion of the fortification wall built in 1386 surrounding the city of Lucerne is amazingly still almost entirely intact to this day.
You can walk along the wall for a breathtaking panoramic view of Lucerne from all angles.
Lucerne is a city in central Switzerland, in the German-speaking portion of the country. Lucerne is the capital of the canton of Lucerne and part of the district of the same name. Lucerne is small, it’s impossible to get lost.
The sunsets over the lake are unreal and the most beautiful thing I have seen :)!
The ice cream is astonishing, you must try it….. 🙂
We grabbed some chocolates and mini macarons, because they had an incredible taste! 🙂
Our first and one of my favorite coffee and chocolate desserts in Lucerne! If the weather is nice definitely sit outside by the water. The view is gorgeous!
The Swiss Fondue is a must! Save your pretzel rolls so you can dip them in the fondue! 🙂 You can eat it with fruit, cheese, bread, pretzel rolls…..
